When and Where was SAPS Academy founded?

SAPS Academy was founded in 2014 in Colombia by a group of Plastic Surgeons.

Why it was founded?

We believed the world needed an independent Educational Network without the bias of regional societies. We wanted to be able to share and grow the educational experiences throughout the World without barriers.

3 Plastic Surgeons: Humberto Uribe Morelli (Colombia), Juan Carlos Zambrano (Colombia), Jaume Masia (Spain)

Is SAPS Academy a Country or Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons?

NO, SAPS Academy is not a conventional country or regional society and does not pretend to be. We are focused strictly on academics and entertainment for our members and we don’t want to be involved in governmental regulation issues.

What makes SAPS Academy Different?

Simply, there is no other Educational platform like SAPS Academy. Since we are not a country society, we are not biassed by politics driven or by friendship between a small or selected group of surgeons, (This is not the rule, but this happens in some places).

We as an educational network do many in presence and online events or activities for our members. From Big meetings and congresses to all types of online education.

Where are the SAPS events done?

Since we have different events trough the year, the in presence events are done in different locations. Cartagena (Colombia), Cancun & La Riviera Maya (Mexico), Bogota (Colombia), Sao Paulo (Brasil) and other places in the rest of the World are coming very soon. We always pick the best locations and the best exclusive resorts Hotels. But if you are in far from this places you can always enjoy all our content online in our www.saps.tv platform.

How SAPS present the educational content?

We have many different options: 

In presence: Meetings, courses, hands on training, cadaver workshops, fellowships, preceptorships and Master courses.

Online: Online meetings (SAPS Was the 1st Platform to do a complete World Online Plastic Surgery Meeting), Online courses, Online Fellowships, Webinars, Live or Video-edited surgeries, CME Content and many more.

Is SAPS Academy only for members?

The Complete benefit YES, but if you don’t have a full year membership, you can rent individual content at the full prices listed. They will have a week to be watched. But for sure is much better and cost-benefit to be a full member, the difference is huge.

What does it mean to be a full member of SAPS Academy?

Being a member means you can enjoy all the benefits we have put together for you. You can always have the best content as fast as you want it and how ever you wish. How I can access the content?

You can access your content by using our web platform, our mobile apps or our TV Apps. The apps are in main app stores. Once you are in the app or the web, you just have to login with your username and password.  Additional info: in the upcoming content apps (SAPS TV APPS) days the apps will be ready to be downloaded, right now you can enjoy our networking app (SAPS Academy APP)

How do I enter the network and the group chats of SAPS Academy?

Once you become a member we will send you an instructional and welcome guide. If you don’t receive it in your inbox, please check your spam or contact us.

Can I have access to SAPS TV with my yearly membership?

Yes, being a member allows you to use all our technological resources and you can watch the content however you want it, wherever and whenever.

How can I Download the Apps?

Remember that we have 2 apps: 

  • SAPS Academy App: (Available in the App and Play Store), this is our networking and info app, here you can finde many resources and all the fun agenda of activities (This agenda keeps being updated)
  • SAPS TV App: This App will be ready to download at the end of May. And will be available to be downloaded for iPhones, androids, apple tv, Roku, Fire tv, Samsung TVs and LG TVs.

How Often I have to renew my SAPS Academy membership?

Your membership is valid for 1 year period, starting the day you are enrolled.

Is any Medical Doctor elegible to be a member of SAPS Academy?

NO, SAPS Membership is exclusive for Certified Plastic Surgeons. After you subscribe in the e-mail we sent you we will require the pertinent documentations that certifies you. Without this certifications your account will be removed from our platform.

When can I see the content?

As soon as you subscribe you can start enjoying all the content for a 1 year period and also take advantage of the other benefits.

Is the payment gateway safe?

Yes, SAPS New platform has a robust security system and all the secure payment certificates. The payment is integrated with stripe (Worlds largest payment platform), so this website doesn’t collect your payment, this is done by Stripe trough a secure integration we have with Stripe.

Can I watch the content if I am not a yearly Member of SAPS Academy?

You can rent individual content at the full prices listed if you are not a yearly member, they will have a week to be watched. But for sure if much better and cost-benefit to be a full member, the difference is huge.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, for sure, and you will still be able to enjoy the content until your membership expires. Once this happens, you will no longer have access to the benefits. But we are sure you are going to love it. We do this with a lot of passion.

SAPS TV FAQ

How do I reset my password?

On the login page, click Forgot Password, enter the email associated with your account, and click Send Instructions. The instruction email will arrive in your inbox shortly. In the instruction email, click Reset Password and you will be directed to select a new password before being redirected to the catalog page.

How do I change my password?

Once signed into your account, you can change your password by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Password and update your password.

How do I update my billing information?

Once signed into your account, you can update your billing information by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and update your billing information.

How do I cancel my recurring subscription?

Once signed into your account, you can cancel your recurring subscription by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and locate your subscription plan at the bottom of the page.  Click Change Plan and Cancel Membership. Your membership will be cancelled and your access will be removed at the end of your current payment period.

My credit card is being declined. Why is that?

Many credit/debit cards have online purchase restrictions. If your card is being declined, please contact your credit card company to let them know the purchase you would like to make is valid. Also, certain credit/debit cards do not allow for recurring subscription billing, and therefore, may be denied.

My video does not playback smoothly. How can I fix this?

Video playback depends on several factors. To improve your playback experience, make sure you have a fast, stable internet connection. We recommend using the most recent version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. You may experience playback issues with outdated devices and browsers.

Can I watch videos using Chromecast and AirPlay?

Yes!  Both Chromecast and Airplay are compatible with our site.  

To use Chromecast: Locate the Chromecast icon in the bottom right corner of the video you want to cast.  Click the icon and select the correct Chromecast from the pop-up in your browser.

To use AirPlay: Open the video on your apple device and click the AirPlay icon in the bottom left corner.

Can I watch videos on my TV without using an app?

Yes. By connecting your laptop directly to your TV with an HDMI cable, you will be able to watch videos from our site on your TV. But the best way is to download our TV Apps (SAPS TV) in your Smart TV. This way offer a much better experience.

Can I watch videos on my phone or tablet without using an app?

Yes. Our website adapts to phone and tablet browsers so you can watch our content anywhere. But again, we have apps for your mobile devices and tablets for a better user experience.

Which browsers are supported?

While we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, we also support Firefox and Safari browser released within the last five years.  You may experience playback issues when using an out of date browser or any version of Internet Explorer.
